Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam’s bustling colonial capital. Your driver and guide will meet you outside the baggage claim of Noi Bai Airport and take you to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, enjoy an orientation walk, visiting some of Hanoi’s main attractions: the Opera House, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. In the evening, savor a welcome dinner of authentic Vietnamese
food at one of Hanoi’s finest restaurants.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Night train to Laocai (B)
Today you have a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas; Hanoi is an eclectic mix that offers something for everyone. Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and stilt house), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature; the Quan Thanh Temple, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake; and one of the city's museums (a choice between the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum). In the evening enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance - a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture - before heading to the train station to catch your night train to Laocai.

Day 3: Laocai - Sapa (B)
The train arrives at the Laocai railways station in the early morning. Your guide and driver will meet you there and take you on the 40km drive to Sapa - Northwest Vietnam’s premier travel destination. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then catch a few hours of rest before beginning your adventure in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples. In the late morning, your
guide will take you on a two-hours trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Rest of the day, you are free at leisure or explore the town on your own.

Day 4: Sapa - Visit hill tribe villages (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before setting out on a full day’s trek to explore Sapa’s cultural diversity and haunting natural beauty. Take a guided hike through yawning valleys decorated with terraced rice fields and pass through remote hill tribe villages. You have three trekking options to choose from: Soft trek (~ 3 km), medium trek (~ 6km) and long trek (~ 12km). Trekking is an excellent way to explore the daily life and familiarize yourself with the cultures of the H’mong, Dzao and Dzay peoples who populate the region. Have lunch at a hill tribe village then drive back to Laocai to catch your return night train to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight on cruise (B, L, D)

Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning. Your guide and driver will meet you at the railways station and take you to a local restaurant for breakfast, before setting out on a 3 to 4-hours drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site: Halong Bay. Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island covered with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Tonkin Gulf (weather permitting). Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters.

Day 6: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Departure (Br)
Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as we navigate back to Halong City. Have brunch on board the boat before returning to Halong pier. Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you to Noi Bai Airport of Hanoi to catch your departure flight home.

Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise - Hanoi - Fly to Danang - Hoian (B, L)
Today you enjoy a day cruise on Halong Bay: a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters, located in the Gulf of Tonkin.
After breakfast at the hotel, you are transferred to the Halong harbor to board your private junk cruise for a 4-hour journey. Cruise along the calm waters, between looming, limestone outcrops to visit Dau Go Cave “Grotto of the Wooden Stakes,” where, in 1288, one of Vietnam’s most famous generals, Tran Hung Dao, stored hundreds of stakes before battling the invading Mongolian army. A short walk away, visit the newly discovered Thien Cung Cave (“Grotto of the Heavenly Palace’’), famous for its stalagmites and stalactites. Savor a fresh seafood lunch, served on board before sailing back to Halong City, where your car will be waiting to take you to Hanoi for your flight to Danang. Day 4: Hoian Walking Tour - Boat trip (B, L)
Immerse yourself in the tranquility and charm of this sleepy riverside town. From the 16th to 18th centuries Hoian was a thriving international port frequented by Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders, who came to trade in the high quality silk still produced in the region. Today, Hoian is a relaxing resort popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, skilled tailors and numerous cafes. Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient town centre, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge. After lunch, take a short boat trip to a nearby island and visit a handicraft village specializing in ceramics. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon and enjoy a free evening at your leisure.

Start your tour with a visit to Cai Be’s colorful floating market, cruising among the local barges stuffed-full of fruits and vegetables. Visit some local workshops then enjoy a delicious lunch served at an ancient house (over 170 years old!) in the cool shade of An Binh Island’s orchards. In the
afternoon, take a traditional rowboat and venture deeper into the countryside, floating through narrow canals to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Today you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town, Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and orchard garden, where you have an opportunity to listen to traditional music. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the river by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and explore the countryside by bicycle. Your driver will meet you at Vinh Long pier and take you to Can Tho City for
the night.

Day 4: Can Tho - Cai Rang Floating Market - Saigon (B)
Wake early and leave the hotel to visit the famous Cai Rang floating market by motor boat. Continue the boat ride to visit the Mekong Delta’s famous orchards and sample the fresh, exotic fruit. Then venture deeper into the country side, passing traditional houses made of wood and palm leaves as you observe the activities of the local people. Return to Can Tho for lunch then drive back to Saigon, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Saigon - Danang - Hoian (B)


After breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Danang. Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and take you on the short drive to the sleepy riverside town, Hoian. Take a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the ancient quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Hall, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house and the famous Japanese Bridge. End the day with a relaxing sunset boat trip.

Day 6: Hoian (B)
Today you embark on a family run “fisherman eco-tour”. Explore Hoian’s surrounding farmland and countryside then try your hand at local fishing techniques as you learn to navigate a basket boat through narrow waterways. Return to Hoian in the afternoon for a private cooking class.

Day 7: Hoian - Danang - Hue (B)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then check-out and drive over the 500m-high Hai Van pass to Hue. Enjoy a stop at the scenic Lang Co Beach for a drink before continuing on to Hue - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Vietnam’s former capital. Spend the afternoon on a leisurely walking tour through the ancient city. Visit the Royal Citadel, the Imperial Museum, as well as the Mausoleum of King tu Duc (a replica of the king’s palace built for the next reincarnation of the king).

Day 8: Hue - Fly to Hanoi (B)
Spend the morning on a private boat cruise down the romantic Perfume River to visit the Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda), Dong Ba Market and the ornate Minh Mang's tomb. Drive to the airport in the afternoon to catch your short flight to Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi. Upon arrival, get transferred to your hotel in the city centre. Free at your leisure.

Today you have a full day to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. With its wide tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and ancient oriental pagodas; Hanoi is an eclectic mix that offers something for everyone. Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and stilt house), the Presidential Palace, the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Temple of Literature; West Lake including the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda & Quan Thanh Temple; and one of the city's museums (a choice between the History Museum and the Ethnology Museum). Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as we sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tonkin (weather permitting). Day 1: Hanoi - Duong Lam Village - Mai Chau (L, D)
In the morning, we start from Hanoi to Duong Lam village – a purely agricultural village of the Northern Red River delta that still preserves many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys, visit Communal House in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes.
Enjoy the great home hosted lunch in traditional atmosphere in the village. After lunch, take another bike ride around the village then drive to Mai Chau over the great scenery of mountain area. Upon
arrival to Mai Chau, enjoy the great home stay in the traditional house of Thai people in Pom Coong Village. Dinner and overnight at house on stilt of Thai people.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Xam Khoe - Mai Chau (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will drive to the central of the valley for 20 km trekking back to the house on the stilts. We start to trek mountainsides to Xam Khoe Village. The trekking is difficult at times with some steep uphill and downhill walking, but the views are incredible however some physical preparation will enable you to fully appreciate today's trek. Then we will hike along the path over villages of Thai people.. Picnic lunch in a family of Thai people on the way. After lunch we trek up 4 km over the bamboo forest over the mountain towards to our village. Get back to Pom Coong Village in the afternoon. After dinner, enjoy the great music and dance performance of Thai people in the village. Overnight at the long house of the Thai people.

Day 3: Mai Chau - Xa Linh - Hanoi - Lao Cai (B, L, D)

This morning we will drive to the beautiful jungle then take a hike to village of Muong people on the beautiful plateau overview to Da river. Then visit Xa Linh, the village of Mong people before coming back to Mai Chau for lunch. After lunch we will drive back to Hanoi. Upon arrival to the city, enjoy the dinner at local restaurant before transferring to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 4: Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L, D)
Arriving in Laocai early in the morning, you will take one and half hours drive to Sapa – the former French Hill Station. It is said that you will find four seasons in a day here, but Sapa is normally seen in a thin mist. Upon arrival, enjoy breakfast in very cozy atmosphere of the local restaurant then start trekking to Muong Hoa valley. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living.

They have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing. Then you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green color. The Zay houses are built of wood and bamboo with a clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.

Day 5: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - Ban Ho (B ,L, D)
After the breakfast we take a trek to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend. We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su pan. After picnic lunch on the way, we trek up to Ban Den then to Ban Ho - the village of Tay people, Overnight in the local house of Tay people in the village.

Day 6: Ban Ho - Ecolodge Resort (B, L, D)

This morning we take a short trek to Thanh Phu then transfer to Ecolodge resort, very impressive and romantic resort above Muong Hoa Valley. From the lodge there are breathtaking views across the scenic valleys below, which are home to villages of the Tay and Red Dao minorities. You will have great time to relax and recover in white stone bungalow; it was built based on ecological principles.
You will have full day to enjoy your stay in this resort, so quiet and calm, totally pure atmosphere. Overnight in Ecolodge.

Day 7: Ecolodge - Sapa - Lao Cai (B, L, D)
After breakfast, you will be at leisure at ecolodge until transferred back to Sapa. After lunch at local restaurant, you will have free time to discover Sapa town on your own before transfer back to Lao Cao station for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 8: Hanoi
The train will arrive at Hanoi station early in the morning. End of the trip.

Day 2: Ha Noi City Tour (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda. Continue on to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple and enjoy riding in a rickshaw for 1 hour in the old quarter of Hanoi and its teeming streets filled with fascinating shops. Day 3: Lao Cai - Sapa - Lao Chai - Ta Van (B, L)

Arrive at Lao Cai station at 6:00am. Pick up at Lao Cai Station then transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast then leave the hotel, start trekking downhill to Y Linh Ho and Muong Hoa Valley through rice paddies and small hamlets to learn the life of hill tribes here. Communication exchange with local people in Lao Chai village then continuing walking through villages and rice terraced fields to Ta Van village settled by Dzay ethnic. Have picnic lunch on the way then keep going to the bottom of Sapa valley which is
supposed to be the most beautiful one in the area. Back to Sapa in the afternoon. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa - Cat Cat - Ta Phin - Hanoi (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel. Trek down to Cat Cat village of Black H'Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat village and beautiful scenery along the way. Jeep back to Sapa. Check out the hotel. Have lunch at the local restaurant. Afternoon, take a car to Ta Phin village to visit the house of Red Dao people, walk around the village to explore the custom, daily life and weaving technique of the Red Dao people. Day 2: Hanoi city tour - Sapa (B, L)
Free in the morning until time our tour guide meet you at lobby for haft day city tour in Hanoi. Cyclo tour (1 hour), visit to The Old Quarter of Hanoi and Ngoc Son Temple. off at Thang Long theatre for water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. This art originates from rural festivals in
Vietnam. The artists-men and women-stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. End of the show and transfer to hotel. At 08: 30 pm our tour guide will pick you up at hotel lobby to the Hanoi railway station for night train to Sapa. Overnight on a train.

Day 3: Laocai railway station - Sapa (D)
Train arrives at Laocai Railway Station at 06.00AM. Transferred to Sapa by private van. Have breakfast at hotel or in the local restaurant (optional). Relax. Your guide will meet you at hotel for short trek to Catcat village, the village of H'mong tribe in the valley, which remains very generally uncorrupted outside forces. Excellent views of the valley, the magnificent limestone and paddy fields of H'mong village. Enjoy some visits to local families and reach their customs. After the village down into the valley, the Cat Cat waterfall will be visible. A "White curtain" cascade appears, surrounded by flowery valley and deep-green pines. The rocks near the river and waterfall provide a marvellous place for picturesque photos and sunbathing during good weather…

Have dinner at restaurant. Then discover Sapa in night, see ethnic people activities and life in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa - Lao chai - Ta van village 12 km (B, L)
Breakfast before private jeep transferred to Lao Chai village, a village of Black H’mong. Short trek down to river to visit hill tribe house to see their living style and the local woman made their handicraft clothes. Further on along the road, the Tavan village where Dzay people staying can be seen. Visit the village and reach their customs. Turn back to Sapa in afternoon for bus transfer back to Laocai railway station for night train back to Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi - Halong (B, L, D)
Train arrival Hanoi around 06 am in the morning. Pick up at railway station and drive towards Halong Bay, truly one of Vietnam‘s most scenic impressive sights. On arrival in Halong we embark on a boat for an exploration of the legendary Halong Bay. Along the trip we learn some kayak orientation and instruction in paddling technique. We begin our first kayaking experience to discover the limestone karsts formations which are littered with beaches, grottoes and beautiful caves, and visit one of the many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs. At the end of afternoon we return to our escorted boat for relaxation and dinner. The night paddle is available for kayaking fervor. Overnight on board.

Day 6: Halong - Hanoi (B, L)

After breakfast, we continue haft day kayak exploration, paddle from Luon Cave toward islets in the shape of Man’s head Island, Tortoise Island. Have lunch on the boat with boat crew before returning to Ha Long Port for vehicle transfer back to Hanoi. Check into hotel. Stay over night at hotel.

Day 7: Hanoi - traditional village - Departure (B)
Today we will visit Battrang pottery village get to know the way made ceramic and product in Vietnam. Return to Hanoi airport for flight back home.
